The Momentum journey

A powerful three-part path to scale

Momentum helps growth-minded entrepreneurs scale through world-class education, peer-to-peer learning in Forum, and deep community engagement at Events.

01

Education

A 10-month course for owners ready to break through growth barriers. You'll work on your own business, developing the tools, strategies, and systems that drive measurable results. Sessions are led by seasoned coaches and faculty, alongside some of the most accomplished entrepreneurs from EO Houston.

Year 1 deliverable: a comprehensive, custom-built Operating Manual to run and scale your business. Year 2 shifts to hands-on, collaborative execution, turning plans into real outcomes.

02

Forum

After the classroom portion, you join an EO Forum group, often considered the most valuable benefit of EO membership. Small, peer-led groups of 6–8 entrepreneurs from non-competing businesses build deep, trusted relationships over the year.

Each group functions like a personal advisory board: a confidential space, guided by trained EO Houston member coaches, meeting monthly for four-hour sessions to tackle your most sensitive business and personal challenges.

03

Events

As a Momentum member, you take part in regular EO Houston chapter learning and social events that help you grow as a business, family, and community leader.

The peer interaction and educational opportunities expand your network and sharpen your business knowledge, helping you become a well-rounded entrepreneur.

This is for you, if you're…

Ready to lead, not just hustle

Momentum is built for founders who've proven they can sell, and are now ready to build the company, team, and life behind it.

Member story

Rosalee Murugan
Before joining the program, I was working 13 to 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, buried in my business and missing out on life. I felt like an employee in the company I built. This program shifted everything. With coaching, structure, and support, I stepped back, redefined my role, and began working on the business. I made space to grow as a leader, wife, and mother. The program gave me the tools to grow, scale, and build a business that thrives, with intention and balance at its core.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is Momentum, and who is it for?

Momentum is a two-year business accelerator for growth-minded Houston founders. It is built for owners generating roughly $250,000 to $1,000,000 in gross revenue who are ready to push past the $1M mark and are done trying to figure everything out alone. If you are ready to commit to the deep work, and you are based in or able to travel to Houston, this is for you.

What is the goal of the program?

To help you break through the operational ceilings that keep owners stuck in day-to-day firefighting, and to build the team, systems, and confidence to scale past seven figures. A core goal is to graduate you to $1M+ in revenue and into Entrepreneurs' Organization Houston, the EO chapter for business owners running companies above $1M. Fewer than 5% of businesses ever reach that level, and Momentum is built to get you there with a business that can sustain long-term growth.

How is the program structured?

It runs like a structured, collaborative accelerator, closer to an MBA-style class than a seminar. You prepare ahead of each session with assigned readings and reviews, then apply the tools directly to your real business between sessions. Year 1 focuses on foundational structures, processes, and leadership. Year 2 shifts to a hands-on, peer-collaborative format focused on execution that drives measurable outcomes.

When and how often do classes meet?

Classes meet in person once a month over a 10-month curriculum, typically on the second Tuesday of the month from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, culminating in a graduation celebration.

Where are the sessions held?

Sessions are hosted across Houston. Core meetings use dedicated spaces at The Ion, and select sessions take place at local corporate offices to give you direct exposure to a range of businesses and operating environments.

What are the revenue requirements to join?

Your business should have gross revenue between $250,000 and $1,000,000 for the most recent fiscal year. Revenue is documented through a program verification form as part of the application.

What will I walk away with?

By the end of Year 1 you will have built a fully customized Operating Manual for your company. It maps your core processes, organizational values, financial dashboards, and accountability structures, so you leave with a real system to run and scale the business, not just notes.

What does the curriculum cover?

Ten lessons that build on each other: leadership self-awareness and strategic foundation, mission and core values, process mapping and accountability systems, financial intelligence and KPIs, strategic forecasting and cost structures, high-accountability culture, execution planning and rhythms, leading through systems and management, positioning and customer experience, and sustaining growth while developing future leaders.

Is this just material I could get from a few business books?

No. Momentum draws on the best proven entrepreneurial operating and financial frameworks, but it is not a reading list. The value is in facilitated application, expert instruction, peer accountability, and a manual built specifically for your company. You are not reading about other people's businesses, you are building the systems for yours alongside a committed cohort of Houston founders.

Is Momentum a place to sell my services to other members?

No. Momentum and EO Houston operate under a strict non-solicitation policy. This is not a networking or lead-generation group, and members do not pitch, sell, or market services to one another or to the chapter. The group runs on EO's Gestalt experience-sharing protocol, where members speak only from their own personal experience rather than giving advice. That keeps the room a safe, honest place to work through real challenges, and it is what helps members reach the top 5%, the businesses that cross $1M in revenue.

How selective is admission?

Admission is selective and the cohort is limited. Every applicant completes an application and a personal interview, so we can make sure Momentum is the right fit for you and for the group. It is a two-way decision, not just yours.

How do I apply?

Applications for the cohort beginning September 2026 are open now. Apply by July 31, 2026, interviews take place in July, decisions go out in August, and the cohort begins in September. Use the Apply button on this page to get started.

A selective cohort, by application and interview

EO Houston Momentum is accepting applications for the cohort beginning September 2026. Classes are held in person in Houston, a two-year program with 10 months of classes a year.

We admit a limited cohort each year, and admission is selective. Every applicant completes an application and a personal interview, so we can make sure Momentum is the right fit for you and for the group. This is a two-way decision, not just yours.

EO looks for owners with businesses that can scale, a diversity of industries and perspectives, and the capacity to think big. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

Applications and interviews take place before August, and admitted members are notified before the September start. The next cohort begins in September 2027.
